Description
We all need temporary storage solutions for our objects. It could be keys in a hallway, jewelry on a bed side table or in a bathroom, or the perfect companion when in a hotel room for whatever you have in your pockets. With The Tray, you can effortlessly drop, store and grab your objects.
The shape of tray is not in itself new, but like all of our other products, design and quality are key to making a longlasting and beautiful object. We want to help you de-clutter every space – even when it means having a bit of clutter on display. The Tray is not only an aesthetic display of clutter but also an aesthetic solution to have on display in any room.
With magnetic closures, six different colour options and high-quality leather, we have made the tray, we've always needed in our own homes.
This tray is grey and made from exquisite surplus aniline leather from one of our surplus leather parthers e.g., Sorensen Leather, Fredericia Furniture and Ecco Leather. It also comes in other neutral colours like cognac and black. The grain and nuances may vary from the images, depending on the surplus materials available, it can be a bit lighter or darker. That’s one of the many charms of surplus materials.

Crafted by hand in the best available materials
Each August Sandgren object is crafted by hand in Portugal by a fourth-generation family of craftsmen. They are not only incredibly talented, but also very dear to us.
The leather and fabrics that we use are all sourced in Europe and from leading tanneries offering transparency; from the origin of the hide to their Oeko-tex certified tanning processes.
Today, most of our objects are crafted in surplus materials sourced from the world’s leading furniture and fashion brands – we are not only very proud to contribute to waste reduction, but also to work with a quality that does not get any better!
It is easy to keep your object beautiful
We craft our objects to last – both in their construction and in our choice of materials. The construction is perfected in every aspect to ensure that it lasts, and to a large extent, so will the leather. The leather will, however, patinate, which we believe is part of its beauty and a testimony to how natural a product we create. To maintain our objects in the best possible way, and to keep it moist, you should leave it out of direct sunlight and every couple of years, treat it with leather grease – just use a soft, clean, cotton cloth and a thin layer of grease, and that’s it!
Make it personal!
All our leather objects can be personalised with name or initials. It is a small addition with a huge and valuable potential for appreciation from the receiver – that person being yourself or someone dear to you.
Personalising your object is easy and only increases delivery time with a maximum of two-three days.
