Description
The Medium Bookbox is great for your small piles of clutter on your desk or shelves. With its A5 size, it can hold your everyday objects or your most cherished belongings, helping to create order and ease in your surroundings. The terracotta medium box is part of our desk set.
The Bookbox is our bestselling box and was the first of August Sandgren’s aesthetic boxes for storage. The box is named ‘The Bookbox’ as it takes its origin from the beautiful old bookboxes, in which people would place their most valuable books to take extra good care of them.
The colour collection in green, saffron and terracotta is a tribute to freedom and happiness and is inspired by the work we did with Josephine A Hoffmeyer and Elisa Ossino in 2021 for Salone del Mobile in Milan. For H+O's installation in Via Solferino, curated by Josepine, we developed a collection of colourful objects. The response from visitors was overwhelmingly positive, and we have now made the most popular colours part of our assortment. The colour collection light up any room, and is made from soft aniline oekotex-certified leather.

Crafted by hand in the best available materials
Each August Sandgren object is crafted by hand in Portugal by a fourth-generation family of craftsmen. They are not only incredibly talented, but also very dear to us.
The leather and fabrics that we use are all sourced in Europe and from leading tanneries offering transparency; from the origin of the hide to their Oeko-tex certified tanning processes.
Today, most of our objects are crafted in surplus materials sourced from the world’s leading furniture and fashion brands – we are not only very proud to contribute to waste reduction, but also to work with a quality that does not get any better!
It is easy to keep your object beautiful
We craft our objects to last – both in their construction and in our choice of materials. The construction is perfected in every aspect to ensure that it lasts, and to a large extent, so will the leather. The leather will, however, patinate, which we believe is part of its beauty and a testimony to how natural a product we create. To maintain our objects in the best possible way, and to keep it moist, you should leave it out of direct sunlight and every couple of years, treat it with leather grease – just use a soft, clean, cotton cloth and a thin layer of grease, and that’s it!
Make it personal!
All our leather objects can be personalised with name or initials. It is a small addition with a huge and valuable potential for appreciation from the receiver – that person being yourself or someone dear to you.
Personalising your object is easy and only increases delivery time with a maximum of two-three days.
